Subway Showcase
I of course couldn’t take a picture of him while facing me, but just the same, you can get the scenario. On my way to Hyehwa today for my weekly mass, a rather good-looking guy (yes, believe me) on his guitar started singing Spanish songs. For some coins, you would’ve guessed? Sure thing. That’s what that hat on his head was for after first using it as a get-up for the performance. I honestly loved his voice and the whole idea of getting a doze of good songs while on the subway. Just when almost everybody I was seated with was so busy watching stuff in their mobile phones, thus with earphones to even bother notice this Latin soul-— there I was smiling at the guitar strums. For the record, no one dropped even a coin in my section of the train when he started handing out his hat, and that made me join the crowd (argh). But I would’ve loved to even treat him to lunch though. If only it wouldn’t look so aggressively weird for a foreigner like me. Haha.
No, I think his body is proportioned despite the small height, if not for the high-waist slacks. And talk about the Atienza-inspired polo. Haha. Hey, but he's been 'straightly' patient while waiting for the train to arrive. And he's taken the correct waiting spot for me to follow, and take a good view of for the shot. Teehee.
That’s a man on some demo for the fruit peeler that he’s selling. The carton-stroller set-up is common for peddlers like him on subways. Guess what fruit he had for the sales talk? Rambutan! I didn’t know Korea grows them as well. Oh well, he had a couple of buys from fellow Koreans, a look from an Indian, and a camera shot from a Filipino. Teehee.
